debate is one of the most divisive conversations in all of sports and depending on who you ask, it could go either way. But, one person who is clearly aligned with Jordan is Skip Bayless who reminded fans of his greatness on the same night James hit 40,000 NBA points.
The Los Angeles Laker completed the feat one year on from surpassing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s record to be the outright highest points scorer and he became the first man to break the 40,000 points barrier against the Denver Nuggets.
The small forward drove past Michael Porter Jr. with 10:39 on the clock in the second quarter to accomplish the feat but it seemed as though Bayless was unable to set tribalism aside to celebrate the achievement…
“Michael Jordan led the NBA in scoring 10 times — to just once for LeBron James,” Bayless posted onto X.com, formerly Twitter. “MJ also won a Defensive Player of the Year — LeBron none.
“MJ: 6-0 in Finals with 6 MVPs. LeBron has as many Finals losses as MJ had wins.”
