George W. Bush is celebrating a new addition to his family! The 78-year-old former President recently took to social media to share the joyous news of his new grandson’s arrival. In a heartfelt Instagram post, Bush congratulated his daughter Barbara Pierce Bush and her husband Craig Coyne on the birth of their second child.

Just days ago, Barbara and Craig, who already have a 2-year-old daughter named Cora Georgia, welcomed their baby boy, Edward Finn, into the world. The touching photo shared by the couple shows them embracing their newborn son in the hospital.

Their faces are glowing with happiness as they lovingly attend to their new son. The caption reads: “@laurawbush and I are proud grandparents of our newest blessing, born on August 4 and named in honor of his great-grandfathers. Welcome to the world, Edward Finn Coyne. Congratulations to Barbara, Craig, and big sister Cora Georgia!”

The joyful news was first shared by Barbara’s twin sister, Jenna Bush Hager, on Monday, August 5. Jenna, who co-anchors *Today*, expressed her delight at becoming an aunt again through a series of Instagram photos.

Jenna, 42, wrote, “My sissy had a little mister, and I fell madly in love with Edward Finn! ❤️💗👼” Her post includes pictures of her tending to her newborn nephew, admiring Barbara holding Edward, and a sweet image of the baby sleeping peacefully in his mother’s arms.

Although Jenna didn’t provide details about her nephew’s birth, the photos clearly capture the family’s joy. Notably, Today.com highlighted that Edward was seen wearing a cap from NYU Langone Health, hinting that Barbara might have delivered at the prestigious New York City hospital.

George W. Bush and his wife Laura have previously shared their excitement about becoming grandparents. The couple made a joint announcement celebrating the birth of their granddaughter, Cora.

“With hearts full, @laurawbush and I are thrilled to announce the arrival of our beautiful granddaughter,” the former president shared. In October 2021, they joyfully revealed that Barbara gave birth to Cora Georgia Coyne on September 27, 2021, in Maine, near their family home where Barbara and Craig had their wedding. “We are overjoyed and grateful that Cora is healthy and adorable.”

The arrival of Edward Finn Coyne marks a joyous moment for the Bush family, adding a new chapter to their rich family history.
