Trzecia Droga, koalicja złożona z Polski 2050 Szymona Hołowni i Polskiego Stronnictwa Ludowego (PSL) Władysława Kosiniaka-Kamysza, która w wyborach parlamentarnych w 2023 roku zdobyła 14,4% głosów i 64 mandaty, obecnie boryka się z poważnymi problemami. Najnowsze sondaże wskazują na znaczny spadek poparcia dla tego ugrupowania, co rodzi pytania o jego przyszłość na polskiej scenie politycznej.
Według sondażu Instytutu Badań Pollster dla “Super Expressu”, gdyby wybory odbyły się teraz, Trzecia Droga mogłaby liczyć na 7,68% poparcia. Co więcej, gdyby startowała jako koalicja, nie przekroczyłaby progu wyborczego, co skutkowałoby brakiem reprezentacji w Sejmie. Taka sytuacja mogłaby doprowadzić do większości parlamentarnej dla Prawa i Sprawiedliwości (PiS) oraz Konfederacji .
Inny sondaż, przeprowadzony przez IBRiS dla “Rzeczpospolitej”, również nie przynosi optymistycznych wieści dla Trzeciej Drogi. Poparcie dla tej koalicji spadło z blisko 15% w lutym 2024 roku do 10,7% w marcu tego samego roku. Spadek ten może być związany ze sporem wokół liberalizacji prawa aborcyjnego w Polsce. Szymon Hołownia był krytykowany, zwłaszcza przez Lewicę, za decyzję o opóźnieniu procedowania projektów zmian w prawie dotyczącym przerywania ciąży
