Life is good when you’re Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
Kelce just won back-to-back Super Bowls, he’s the greatest and highest-paid all-time at his position, he has one of the most popular sports podcasts on the internet, and he’s in a committed relationship with the world’s biggest pop star.
So when Kelce appeared on ABC’s “Good Morning America” on Thursday and said that he feels like he’s on top of the mountain, I imagine he’s talking about Mt. Everest… if Mt. Everest were on the moon.
At the end of the interview, he was asked how good his life was on a scale of 1 to 10.
“20 — [maybe] a hundred,” answered Kelce.
One might wonder what else is left to do with all this success.
Well actually, quite a lot.
Earlier this offseason, news broke indicating Kelce will star in Ryan Murphy’s new horror series on FX, “Grotesquerie.” Murphy is best known for creating another FX horror hit, “American Horror Story.
While it might seem like Kelce has everything in control, he told “Good Morning America” that acting in this capacity is pretty far outside of his comfort zone.
“I’ve been on a few shows before, [but] I’ve only been myself in those shows. It’s definitely different portraying a character and trying to find the emotions, in everything, and the understanding of a script and a scene, I feel like an amateur right now.”
Considering that his background is in sports and not a thespian, it’s understandable for Kelce to feel like a fish out of water, but being an athlete has given him an advantage in one aspect of this endeavor.
“I’m coachable,” laughed Kelce. “That’s one thing I know from being in sports.”
