Karol Nawrocki na antenie radia RMF FM stwierdził, że celem jego pierwszej wizyty w przypadku wygranej w wyborach prezydenckich nie będzie Kijów. Pierwszą wizytę odbyłbym z całą pewnością w Waszyngtonie, ale z międzylądowaniem w Watykanie — mówi kandydat PiS.
Jak tłumaczy, w Stolicy Apostolskiej był wcześniej jako prezes IPN-u. Dopytywany o wizytę w Kijowie, odpowiada, że chętnie przyjąłby w Warszawie prezydenta Wołodymyra Zełenskiego albo jego następcę. — Aby nadać tym naszym relacjom wydźwięk partnerski.
