In a major development tied to the 2020 U.S. election aftermath, former Trump campaign attorney Jenna Ellis has entered a guilty plea in Fulton County, Georgia, admitting her role in efforts to overturn the 2020 election results.
As part of her plea agreement, Ellis has agreed to fully cooperate with prosecutors — including testifying against other defendants if called to do so.
Fourth Defendant to Flip in Georgia Case
Ellis became the fourth co-defendant in the sprawling Georgia election interference prosecution to take a plea deal with prosecutors.
The indictment, originally charging 19 individuals including former President Donald Trump, alleged participation in a criminal enterprise aimed at subverting the lawful outcome of the 2020 presidential election in Georgia.
